What is GiveNOLA Day?
It is a 24-hour online giving event that benefits nonprofits in the Greater New Orleans area. It's hosted by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, and presents a great opportunity to flex your philanthropic heart muscle.
Why it Matters:
At STEM Heads, we mentor young innovators through hands-on, inquiry and project-based learning—helping today's students grow into tomorrow's leaders.
This GiveNOLA Day, our goal is to raise $5,000 to provide scholarships for campers (ages 5–12) to attend our Summer STEM Camp. Not every child has the opportunity to experience camp—your support can change that. With your help, we can send 15 campers to camp for FREE.
Here’s what your gift can do:
$420 → Covers all class field trips, including transportation, and admission into all workshops.
$300 → One student attends summer camp for 6-weeks.
Any gift—large or small—even just $5—is deeply appreciated! The amounts above reflect the real cost of programming.

ONE TIME OR MONTHLY DONATIONS
100% of the donations we receive support STEM Heads' initiatives promoting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education. Your donation fuels:
1. Educational Youth Programs: Funding workshops, camps, and hands-on learning experiences that engage students in STEM subjects.
2. Procurement of Resources and Materials: Purchasing books, lab equipment, and technology tools necessary for effective learning.
3. Professional Development: Supporting training programs for educators to improve their teaching techniques in STEM areas.
4. Community Outreach: Organizing events that promote STEM in underrepresented communities, including family science nights like the NOEast Fest and Mardi Gras STEM 2026 at Bethany UMC.

STEM Heads offers kindergarten through 12th grade students activities, tools, and resources they need to enjoy hands-on, inquiry-based learning opportunities in the community and in the classroom. Students engage in robust enrichment activities and receive the guidance they need to improve critical thinking and 21st century skills. They meet mentors, engage in meaningful discussions and training, and explore STEM-focused careers.

In-Kind Donations are Encouraged!
In-kind contributions include binders, pens, markers, STEM project materials, and even sports equipment, as well as other items our participants can use to learn or enjoy summer camp. For our Tinker Space, we often need used iPads, electronics, insulated wires, holiday decorations, etc.
